Red Dog Meet a "red dog" — the nickname for bison calves born with their signature cinnamon coat. By summer's end, that fleeting red gives way to the dark brown we all recognize.
The adults weren't interested in me at all — but this one? This one had things to say. I just wish I spoke bison.
Never Alone Cracked clay, Mars-like silence, and footsteps pressed into the earth long before I arrived stopped me in my tracks — a quiet reminder that no matter how remote the path, we never truly walk alone.
